Join us as we head into the golden hush of autumn in the Willamette Valley of the Pacific Northwest, where weathered and restored covered bridges span quiet creeks and maple-lined banks glow in seasonal color. Meandering streams beneath them reflect the rich hues of fall— gold and mossy green—providing opportunities for both intimate details and wider layered scenes.
Covered bridges are a fascinating subject to view and photograph from bygone years. You just don't see these built as options for new bridges today. It's special that there are a number of bridges we expect to visit all within a short drive from our home base.
Additionally, adjacent to the hotel we are staying at is a beautiful ~1-acre Japanese Garden. We will be there as the foliage is turning for fall, with ample break time to go photograph this on your own should you choose to.
Physical activity required is minimal for this workshop. Most locations are generally a short walk from the vehicle on well-graded/paved paths or roads. That said, you should be comfortable walking over varying terrain carrying your own gear.
